Job Overview
We are a newly formed UK Logistics company with core staff having collectively over 75 years experience in the shipping and transport industry.
We are seeking professional and reliable HVG Class 1 Drivers to join our team.
Responsibilities
- General Haulage = Containers / curtain sides / flat beds safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy and comply with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in haulage.
- HGV Driving Licence with a maximum of 6 points
- Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) with appropriate endorsements for flatbed operation.
- Familiarity with delivery routes and geographical areas is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills and time management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 50 per week
