Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent standards of vehicle safety and compliance. Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed lorries across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and secure cargo appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimising fuel consumption and delays.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding progress or issues.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods at various sites when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
- Uphold high standards of vehicle cleanliness and safety at all times.
- Comply with all company policies, health and safety regulations, including adherence to driving hours legislation.

Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence suitable for commercial vehicles, with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role.
- Experience operating flatbed lorries is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial drivers.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
- Good communication skills for liaising with dispatch teams and clients.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when required.
