Cognitive Rehabilitation Assistant (CRA)
- Location: Long Sutton PE12 (Applicants should be ideally located within 1hr drive radius of both), so will consider applicants who live near Kings Lynn.
- Salary: Part-Time: From £15/hour (DOE)
- FIXED TERM CONTRACT - 12 Months for Long Sutton client (with possibility of extensions and additional clients in future), with an additional opportunity in Boston (distance depending).
- Additional benefits include travel expenses, mileage, enhanced evening/weekend rates, and performance bonuses.
- Hours: 24/7 hours package, Mon-Sun, Evenings & Sleep Ins (Hiring 3-4 candidates for this area so will be shared on shift basis). Each candidate can expect 30hrs + per week.
- Long Sutton Package is an Independent Living Trial (see description below) - so client will require a team.
- Drivers required: Applicants must possess a full clean driving license, and access to their own vehicles.
- Ideally suited to: Psychology or Neuroscience graduates/undergraduates (or related field), looking to kick start a career in Neurorehabilitation.

About the Role
We are looking for 3-4 new CRAs to join our team for a package of support provision covering the PT hours listed above (Package is 24/7 - approx 30 hrs+ per week each candidate), supporting an Independent Living Trial. You will be engaging in a cognitive rehabilitation program and community support package, while being supervised by clinicians and liaise with a wider multi-disciplinary team.
About ILTs
Independent Living Trial Assessments provides opportunity for evidence gathering and recommendations for longer term needs in the home setting. Generally our ILT packages vary in length with most agreed at a focussed 12 week period, however this one in particular has been approved to run for a period of 12 Months and then a year beyond this, with tapering of support as skills develop and strategies are habituated. It is a team based approach of varied shifts, and our dedicated ILT Coordinator takes care of the process from beginning to end, with regular supervision and team leadership provided to our CRAs throughout.
Once finished, further hours and clients may become be available to CRAs if new referrals come in for continued support opportunities.
Your role will include:
- Supporting the client in their home and community to improve independence , enhance function and personal goals.
- Implementing tailored cognitive rehabilitation programs, including strategy development, psychological approaches, and fatigue management.
- Facilitating social, vocational, and leisure activities that align with the client’s interests.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver a package of rehabilitation approaches.
- Empowering the client to overcome challenges, build confidence, and reach their potential.
