Overview
The Early Years Initial Teaching Training Apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood education and development. This paid apprenticeship is designed to provide comprehensive training and practical experience in teaching young children, including those with special educational needs. Successful candidates will develop essential skills in supporting children's learning, behaviour management, and inclusive education, preparing them for a rewarding career in early years education. At the end of the Apprenticeship you will be awarded with Early Years Teacher Status.
To be able to complete this course, you need to have a bachelor's degree or in your final year of study and also hold a GCSE grade C in Maths, English and Science?
Responsibilities
- Assist qualified early years practitioners in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities for children.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs through personalised mentoring and tutoring.
- Contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment for children of diverse backgrounds.
- Work closely with children with disabilities or autism, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
- Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to the supervising team.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to promote positive relationships and collaborative working.
- Participate in training sessions focused on special education needs (SEN), inclusive practices, and behaviour management strategies.
- Support the implementation of personalised learning plans and behavioural support strategies.
Qualifications
- A genuine interest in working with young children and supporting their early development.
- Experience or familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or autism is desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Previous experience in tutoring or mentoring children is advantageous.
- Knowledge of special education principles and inclusive teaching practices is a plus.
- Ability to work as part of a team within a busy early years setting.
- Enthusiasm for professional development and a commitment to continuous learning. This apprenticeship provides valuable hands-on experience alongside recognised training programmes, equipping aspiring early years educators with the skills necessary for a successful career in the sector.
Pay: £26,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
