Kitchen/ Cook Assistant - Main Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of excellent quality meals within the home, with the aim of achieving the highest levels of satisfaction for residents in our care.
- To assist at service time by serving the residents, as directed, to the company standard, including correct portion control and promote a friendly atmosphere.
- Prepare dining areas to create a safe and enjoyable environment for residents at mealtimes.
- To undertake all aspects in the cleaning of equipment – walls, floors, fixtures and fittings, to the companies’ standard according to the cleaning rota as required and directed.
- To ensure work areas and equipment are left clean.
- To ensure a high standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory and company regulations.
- To report immediately any incidents of fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food or other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate or possible.
- To receive any training as is necessary to maintain the standards in the establishment.
- Work safely within company policies, seeking advice and guidance when necessary.
- To comply with all the legal and hygiene requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
Food Hygiene Certificate preferred

Qualifications and Skills
Food Hygiene Certificate preferred
Professional Cookery SVQ preferred
Kitchen/cooking Experience Required
