We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team at the King's Arms Hawkshead. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fresh food preparation and culinary arts, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality. As the Breakfast Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members are trained in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead by example, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and creativity.
- Handle any customer complaints or feedback regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and food safety standards.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse kitchen team.
- Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding dining experiences.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
