Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred care while supporting and leading a team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring residents remain safe, comfortable, and well-supported throughout the night, while maintaining the highest standards of care and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and support the care team to deliver exceptional standards of care.
Ensure residents receive high-quality person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
Administer medication safely and accurately in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Carry out regular resident wellbeing and safety checks throughout the night.
Respond promptly and appropriately to residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs.
Support residents living with dementia using compassionate and reassuring approaches.
Complete accurate care documentation, handovers, and incident reports.
Promote a calm, safe, and welcoming environment during night hours.
Assist with care plans and risk assessments where required.
Ensure safeguarding procedures and CQC standards are consistently maintained.
Support, mentor, and guide junior care staff and new team members.
Liaise professionally with healthcare professionals, relatives, and management when necessary.
Maintain cleanliness, health & safety, and infection control standards across the home.
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience within a residential or dementia care setting.
Experience working in a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader role preferred.
NVQ Level Level 3 in Health & Social Care required.
Medication administration training and competency.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Good understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care practices.
Ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and make decisions confidently during night shifts.
A caring, professional, and compassionate nature with a genuine passion for elderly care.
