Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Curtain Maker to join our team. This role involves crafting VERY high-quality curtains tailored to clients' specifications, ensuring precision and craftsmanship in every piece. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse environment and possess sewing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering excellent results. 10 years minimum experience required.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut fabric accurately according to client specifications and design plans
- Sew and assemble curtain panels, ensuring neat stitching and secure finishes
- Handle fabric and materials with care, maintaining organisation within the workspace
- Operate sewing machines and other relevant equipment safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with the design team or clients to ensure the final product meets expectations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering fabrics and supplies as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a warehouse setting is desirable
- A good hand stitching is key
- The ability to work with all type of fabrics
- Proficiency in sewing techniques, with the ability to operate sewing machines confidently
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to interpret measurements and technical drawings accurately
- Good manual dexterity and steady hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and improving craftsmanship
