We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Milton Keynes on a full-time, term-time basis. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering the chance to secure a permanent role within a supportive and well-established school environment.
You will be supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), many of whom display behaviour that challenges, so previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs is essential.

This is a specialist provision in Milton Keynes that supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. The school provides a structured, nurturing environment where staff work closely with students to help them develop confidence, regulate behaviour, and engage positively with learning. With small class sizes and a strong pastoral focus, the school is committed to helping every pupil achieve their potential.
The Role
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting the teacher in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Implementing behaviour support strategies and individual learning plans
- Encouraging engagement, independence, and social development
- Supporting pupils both in the classroom and during structured activities
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- Proven experience supporting behaviour that challenges
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
