£14.00 per hour | 30–37.5 hours per week

We’re looking for an exceptional Café Manager to lead Pinc – not just another café, but a vibrant community space where incredible coffee, beautiful food and meaningful opportunities come together.

This role is for someone who treats the café as if it were their own business. We’re looking for a hands-on manager who takes pride in every detail, inspires their team and is passionate about growing an independent café with purpose.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading the day-to-day running of the café.
- Creating a warm, energetic and welcoming atmosphere for customers, staff, volunteers and service users.
- Supporting and mentoring individuals with additional needs in meaningful vocational opportunities.
- Recruiting, training, developing and motivating a high-performing team.
- Managing rotas, staffing levels and labour costs.
- Taking ownership of stock control, ordering and supplier relationships.
- Managing profit and loss, gross profit, budgets and food costings to maximise profitability.
- Monitoring waste and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and margins.
- Analysing sales reports and using data to drive business growth.
- Working alongside the owners to develop new products, seasonal menus and exciting ideas.
- Producing and overseeing attractive, photo-ready food and drinks that customers love to share.
- Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and health & safety, ensuring the café consistently achieves a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating.
- Building strong relationships within the local community and helping Pinc continue to grow as a destination café.
- Bringing positive energy, creativity and enthusiasm to the team and customer experience every day.
Essential requirements
- Proven track record of successfully managing an independent café.
- Experience managing profit and loss, budgets, food costings and gross profit.
- Experience leading, developing and motivating a team.
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence making business decisions.
- Excellent understanding of food hygiene legislation and Environmental Health requirements.
- Experience till systems and cash handling procedures.
- Experience producing high-quality, visually appealing food and drinks.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for inclusion and supporting people with additional needs.
- Flexibility to work within the café’s opening hours, including occasional weekends or events when required.
- Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification
- Barista and speciality coffee experience.
Desirable
- Personal Licence holder (if applicable).
- Experience planning menus alongside chefs or bakers.
- Social media and marketing knowledge, with an eye for creating Instagram-worthy food and drinks.
- Experience organising community events or promotions.
- First Aid qualification.
