Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Automotive Repair Workshop Branch Manager to lead and oversee daily operations at our busy service centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining excellent customer relations. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of automotive repair processes. The Branch Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the workshop’s success whilst upholding safety standards and operational efficiency.
Duties
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of workmanship.
- Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
- Ensure all repairs and services meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Manage inventory levels of parts, tools, and equipment to optimise workshop productivity.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations across the workshop environment.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Build strong relationships with customers, addressing enquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
- Organise staff training programmes to keep the team updated on technical advancements and safety protocols.
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely procurement of parts and tools.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive repair or workshop management is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with practical experience in vehicle diagnostics and repairs.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Leadership qualities with a track record of managing teams within a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills to liaise confidently with staff, customers, and suppliers.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to automotive workshops.
- A recognised qualification in automotive engineering or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.

Pay: £35,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
