Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Motor Mechanic/MOT Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and testing vehicles to ensure they meet safety and emissions standards. Duties
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models
- Perform MOT testing in accordance with legal requirements and industry standards
- Diagnose mechanical issues using specialised tools and equipment
- Replace or repair faulty components, including brakes, engines, suspension, and exhaust systems
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and MOT tests
- Assist with vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify underlying issues
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic or similar role
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repairs and diagnostics
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Valid MOT tester certification (or willingness to obtain certification)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to repairs
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and customers

Pay: £26,110.16-£40,403.56 per year
