Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Music Teacher to inspire and nurture students' musical talents across various age groups. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, foster a love for music, and support students in developing their skills on their chosen instruments or vocal techniques. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver comprehensive music lessons tailored to students’ ages and skill levels, covering theory, technique, and performance.
- Prepare students for recitals, examinations, and performances, encouraging confidence and stage presence.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support ongoing development.
- Organise and supervise practice sessions, workshops, and group activities to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment that encourages creativity and participation.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and colleagues to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, assessments, and lesson plans in accordance with organisational policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience teaching music to diverse age groups; specialisation in specific instruments or vocal training is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Degree in Music Education or equivalent recognised teaching certification.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs and learning styles.
- Organised with the ability to plan lessons effectively whilst maintaining flexibility for spontaneous learning opportunities.
- A passion for music education coupled with patience, enthusiasm, and a nurturing attitude.
