Role Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial statements, year-end accounts, other accounting and financial returns (VAT, Management accounts, CIS etc)
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for multiple client accounts using cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
- The primary focus of the role will be to assist managers and partners in preparing accounts and VAT returns for a variety of business.
- Supporting MTD for ITSA, including digital record-keeping and quarterly submissions.
- Liaising directly with clients and building long term relationships.
Who We’re Looking For: The Ideal Candidate
Senior
- ACCA or ACA qualified
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice overseeing similar assignments.
- A proactive, client-focused approach with the confidence to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong ability to manage workloads, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Semi Senior
- Actively studying AAT, ACA or ACCA, or qualified by experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice handling similar assignments.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Junior
- Studying AAT or keen to begin studying towards a qualification.
- Some experience in an accountancy practice is desirable but not essential.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Working Arrangements
The working week: 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday) to be worked from 08:30 - 17:00.
Location: Your primary place of work will be our Tonbridge office
