ELITE Children's Services Ltd is seeking an experienced, passionate, and reliable Level 3 Qualified Children's Wake Night Residential Support Worker. We are looking for dedicated individuals who have a strong commitment to making a difference in the lives of children and young people, particularly those who present challenging behaviours.
About the Role
As a Wake Night Children's Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support in our brand-new 4-bedroom home. This home will cater to a solo resident, offering a therapeutic environment for children and young people with complex needs and behaviours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide night support to children and young people, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional needs are met.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive atmosphere, promoting positive behaviours and emotional development.
- Assist in implementing individual care plans tailored to each child or young person, ensuring their specific needs are addressed.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including health and social care professionals, to deliver comprehensive support.
- Establish trusting relationships with the children and young people, encouraging them to express their feelings and concerns.
- Support children in developing life skills and promoting their independence as appropriate.
- Completing all night time cleaning duties.
- Maintain accurate records of each child’s progress and incidents, following company policies and regulatory requirements.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent.
- Able to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern over a 7-day rota
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in residential care or a similar role supporting children and young people.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies, child development, and therapeutic care practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
- A caring and empathetic approach, coupled with resilience in managing challenging situations.
- Willingness to undertake further training and professional development in relevant areas.
- A positive and proactive attitude towards supporting young people in overcoming challenges.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook) for documentation and reporting.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
