Experienced Signage & Vinyl Installer Lead Fitter (Subcontractor)
We are looking for an experienced Lead Signage Installer to join our team and take responsibility for running a fully equipped company van. This is a self-employed subcontractor position, ideal for someone who takes genuine pride in their workmanship and has exceptional attention to detail.
No two days are the same, with projects ranging from small vinyl installations to large-scale signage projects across the UK.
The Role
You will be responsible for the installation of a wide range of products, including:
- Internal and external signage - Illuminated signage and lightboxes
- Wall graphics
- Window graphics
- Manifestation graphics
- Vinyl graphics
- Built-up lettering
- ACM panels
- Fabricated signage
- Wayfinding and directional signage
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality installations to the highest standard.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, installation specifications and construction plans.
- Work closely with project managers, designers and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
- Maintain a strong understanding of health and safety procedures within construction environments.
- Care for and maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment.
- Travel nationwide and work away from home when required, including occasional evening and night shifts.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in onsite vinyl and signage installation.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently and lead installations.
- Full UK driving licence (over 25 years of age for insurance purposes), with no drink or drug-driving endorsements.
- Valid CSCS, IPAF, PASMA and Asbestos Awareness certifications.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and stay away from home when required.
