Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Manager to oversee projects nationwide and support the continued expansion of the business.

The Role
As Site Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of construction and refurbishment projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, on programme, and to the high standards expected by WHL Projects Ltd.
You will manage site operations, subcontractors, materials, health & safety compliance, quality control, and client coordination across multiple live projects.
This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, commercially aware, organised, and capable of managing projects from mobilisation through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations across construction and refurbishment projects
- Supervise subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and direct labour
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification
- Maintain high-quality standards across all projects
- Conduct regular site inspections, progress reporting, and quality checks
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures
- Coordinate labour, materials, deliveries, and site logistics
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal management teams
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and programme management
- Support pricing of variations, small works, and additional project requirements
- Help identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain commercial awareness on site
- Ensure excellent customer service and professional representation of WHL Projects Ltd at all times
About You
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Site Manager with strong leadership skills and practical construction experience.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience within Site Management
- Background in construction, refurbishment, maintenance, or fit-out projects
- Strong understanding of UK construction processes and Building Regulations
- SMSTS Certificate
- Valid CSCS Card
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage subcontractors and multiple workstreams effectively
- Strong organisational and problem-solving ability
- Good health & safety awareness
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in Construction Site Management
- Experience within commercial, residential, or public sector projects
- First Aid at Work qualification
- Commercial awareness and experience assisting with pricing or variations
