Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting the smooth operation of catering services within a school, The ideal candidate must have there own car as well as passion for hospitality and food service, with a keen eye for detail and excellent guest interaction skills. This is a unique position where the catering assistant will support the food preparation and then deliver and serve the food at another school. Mileage allowance is included.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in food preparation and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and hygiene
- Serving food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests or clients
- Delivery and service of food
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the catering area, including washing up and sanitising utensils and surfaces
- Supporting the setup and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables, chairs, and equipment
- Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations at all times
- Providing exceptional guest services by attending to customer needs promptly and professionally
- Restocking supplies as needed during service periods
- Assisting with inventory management and stock control
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Experience in food preparation or serving roles is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with guests or clients
- Ability to work flexibly, including during busy periods or special events
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced setting
Pay: £12.71 per hour
