About Cary Brook
Cary Brook is a specialist dementia care home, with 45 beds providing compassionate, person-centred support for residents living with dementia. Due to the nature of the service, previous experience working within a care home environment is essential for this role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing attractive, nutritious and well-balanced meals using fresh produce
- Catering for special dietary requirements where needed
- Working with company menus while managing kitchen budgets
- Ordering, storing and rotating stock appropriately
- Supporting and coordinating the catering team
- Maintaining kitchen standards and HACCP records
- Building relationships with your residents daily to offer choice and meet individual needs.
- Providing ideas to support with the development and planning of seasonal company menus.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working within a care home environment is essential
- A positive, can-do attitude and genuine passion for people
- Ability to work alternate weekends
- Right to work in the UK
