The role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a Neurodevelopmental Lead within Specialist Children’s Services, working across the North West and East Dunbartonshire locality on a 23-month fixed-term basis. You will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and delivering high-quality neurodevelopmental services for children and young people, working within a supportive multi-disciplinary environment. You will be supported with ongoing professional development, supervision and opportunities to lead transformational change in neurodevelopmental care.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
Fixed-Term, Full Time
Base Location: The West Centre
Shift Pattern: 36 hours per week, worked across 5 days
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary neurodevelopmental team delivering specialist assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children and young people

Drive service development and operational delivery of neurodevelopmental pathways across CAMHS and paediatric services

Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to staff, ensuring high standards of care and professional practice

Work collaboratively with health, education, social work and third sector partners to deliver integrated care

Support clinical governance activities, including quality improvement, audit, policy implementation and responding to feedback

Manage team performance, workforce planning, and resource allocation within the service

Contribute to service innovation, training delivery and the ongoing development of evidence-based practice
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Degree-level qualification with current professional registration as a Nurse, Allied Health Professional or Psychologist

Significant experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions within CAMHS or paediatric services

Proven leadership or management experience within a multi-disciplinary healthcare setting

Strong understanding of neurodevelopmental assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic intervention approaches

Experience of clinical supervision, staff development and performance management

Ability to work collaboratively across agencies and influence service development at a strategic level

Commitment to continuous professional development, clinical governance and delivering high-quality, person-centred care
