Waste Collection Operative / Refuse Loader
Location: Burton upon Trent
Pay Rate: £12.85 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 2:30pm

We are currently recruiting reliable and hardworking Waste Collection Operatives to support local waste and recycling services across Burton upon Trent. This is a physically active, outdoor role ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and being part of a dedicated team.
No previous experience is required, as full training and support will be provided.
Key Duties
- Assisting with the collection of household and commercial waste and recycling materials
- Loading and emptying bins safely into collection vehicles
- Working alongside drivers and crew members to complete daily collection routes
- Following all health and safety procedures and guidelines
- Reporting any hazards, issues, or incidents encountered during collections
- Helping to ensure routes are completed efficiently and on schedule
What We're Looking For
- Good level of physical fitness and willingness to undertake manual work
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining excellent attendance
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous experience in waste collection, recycling, labouring, or outdoor work is beneficial but not essential
