About the Role
We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and animal-loving individuals to join our growing team as a Client Pet Care Assistant.
This is a self-employed role, ideal for someone who enjoys flexible working and has a genuine passion for animal welfare. This is not a premises-based position — you will be travelling within your local area, visiting pets in their homes or carrying out booked pet care services.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality pet care while building positive relationships with both pets and owners.
Important Information About This Role
This position is not hourly paid employment.
As a self-employed Client Pet Care Assistant, payment is made per completed service booked with you, rather than by the hour.
This means:
- You are paid only for services completed by you
- Earnings depend on the number of bookings completed
- This role offers flexibility but work is not guaranteed
- You are expected to actively find and build your own client base
In addition to finding your own clients, we also:
- Provide business referrals and enquiries
- Add you to our company booking software system
- Allocate suitable bookings where available
- Support you with onboarding and guidance
Any clients referred through the business remain clients of [Business Name].

Key Responsibilities
As a Client Pet Care Assistant, your duties may include:
- Dog walking
- Pet visits and welfare checks
- Feeding and watering pets
- Administering medication (if trained and authorised)
- Providing companionship and enrichment
- Cleaning pet areas where necessary
- Monitoring pet health and wellbeing
- Reporting welfare or safeguarding concerns
- Maintaining communication with clients
- Updating booking information and visit notes
Requirements

Essential Requirements
- Access to reliable transport (preferred depending on area)
- Smartphone with internet access
- Ability to travel locally

- Strong communication skills
Desirable
- Previous animal experience
- Animal care qualifications
- Pet first aid knowledge
- Experience with nervous or reactive animals

This role is fully mobile and involves travelling between client locations within your chosen working area.
