Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Night Sales Assistant to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, managing sales transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the store during evening hours. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a friendly demeanour to provide outstanding customer service. Fluency in multiple languages, particularly English and Spanish, is highly desirable to assist a diverse clientele. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a professional manner
- Provide product information and recommendations to maximise sales opportunities through upselling techniques
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive product displays
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, card payments, and processing refunds as needed
- Manage stock levels by organising shelves and reporting low inventory items to management
- Ensure the store remains clean, organised, and welcoming throughout the shift
- Handle customer enquiries via phone or in person with courtesy and professionalism
- Assist in closing procedures at the end of the shift, including balancing tills and securing the premises
Requirements
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and customer engagement
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent organisational skills and time management to prioritise tasks effectively during evening hours
- Proven ability to upsell products while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Good organisational skills to manage stock and merchandising efficiently
- Previous retail experience is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
