Recruit are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing logistics company in Appleton Thorn, Warrington, a leading independent provider of next-day and scheduled delivery services for parcels and freight.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader looking to join a fast-paced operation with long-term career prospects.
Shift: Monday to Friday | 14:30 – 23:30
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Job Type: Temp to Perm (Permanent opportunity after 8 weeks through the agency)
The Role
As a Backshift Warehouse Supervisor, you will support the Shift Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of warehouse operations while leading and motivating the warehouse team to achieve performance targets safely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy logistics environment and leading from the front.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and supporting warehouse operatives during the shift
- Assisting with the daily running of warehouse operations
- Ensuring productivity, accuracy, and team performance targets are achieved
- Coordinating loading, unloading, and freight sorting activities
- Maintaining high health & safety standards across the warehouse
- Providing Shift Manager cover when required
- Helping create a positive and motivated team environment
What We’re Looking For
- Previous warehouse supervisory, team leader, or senior operative experience
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
- A reliable, proactive, and hands-on approach
- Logistics or freight experience would be advantageous
