About Lytham Tutors
Lytham Tutors is a well-established tutoring business providing high-quality, tailored education to students across the Fylde Coast with over 200 students and 35 members of staff. We are looking for passionate and experienced Secondary tutors to join our team, offering:
- Council-Commissioned Tuition in students’ homes and public spaces during the day.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and structured lessons to students, focusing mainly on KS3, KS4 and Functional Skills in English and Maths, but also on life skills and enrichment.
- Support students with SEND and additional needs, helping them develop essential Maths and English skills.
- Use provided lesson resources while adapting content to suit individual learning styles.
- Track student progress and provide regular feedback.
- Travel to students' homes or public spaces in and around Lytham, Blackpool, and Preston.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Prior tutoring or teaching experience required (ideally QTS).
- Qualifications: PGCE/QTS preferred, minimum A-levels in relevant subjects.
- SEND Experience: Beneficial for AP roles.
- DBS Check: Enhanced DBS preferred (we can assist with the application).
- Initiative: Resources are provided, but tutors must adapt lessons to suit learners.
- Transport: Tutors must be able to travel students during the day.
