Intensive Crisis Worker - Mental Health

Hours: Part Time 22.5 hours per week, 3 days per week
Shifts: 8:00AM – 4:00PM / 3:30PM – 11:00PM (work pattern to be discussed during the interview)
This role operates on a two-week rota pattern, which includes weekend working
Salary: £25,390 per annum, the salary will be pro rata for part time hours
Contract: Fixed Term contract maternity cover until June 2027
Location: Short Stay Recovery House, Holly Tree House Norwich - NR5
The Service
The Short Stay Recovery House is a 24-hour service for people who have experienced, or are experiencing a mental health crisis but do not require a hospital admission.
The Role
You will provide crisis intervention and support to people who are experiencing a psychiatric and or psychosocial crisis but do not require a hospital admission.
Among Other Responsibilities You Will
- Support individuals in crisis (presenting in a range of ways, including low mood, depressed, anxious, mania, self-harming, and experiencing suicidal thoughts) to develop their own safety plan and coping strategies to navigate the crisis situation.
- Identify and respond to individuals who become a risk to themselves or others within this time period by working closely with the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Service. (CRHT)
- Liaise with the Service Manager when taking new referrals and be part of a full risk handover when accepting new people to the house
- Complete admissions and discharge paperwork including recovery plans
- Create and facilitate one to one's and group sessions for guests to aid in their recovery focusing on client-specific recovery goals
