The role
We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a six-month temporary contract.
Working as part of a supportive and professional team, you will be responsible for managing the bookkeeping requirements of multiple company accounts. You will need to be a strong team player who enjoys working to deadlines and takes pride in delivering accurate, high quality work.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience working as a Bookkeeper, ideally within an accountancy practice or a multi-client environment
- Confident in using Sage Accounts, Sage Cloud, Xero and Excel Spreadsheets
- Ideally Level 4 ATT qualified, however qualified experience will be considered
- Have experience managing the bookkeeping requirements of multiple companies or clients
- Possess excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Be organised and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Have a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to their responsibilities
- Be a confident team player who can also work independently when required
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop professionally
- Have good IT skills and experience using bookkeeping and accounting software
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Completing bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently
- Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve bookkeeping queries
- Working closely with colleagues across the practice to meet client deadlines
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in accordance with relevant procedures and regulations
- Supporting the wider accounts team as required
