The Imperial Patient Experience Research Centre (PERC) is recruiting four new posts to strengthen our work in public involvement and patient experience research. This PERC Senior Teaching Fellow role is part of this and will lead the building of capacity and confidence in our students, staff and public contributors in participatory research methods and public involvement which is integral to PERC’s vision of bringing communities and professionals together to improve health research.
You will be leading the coordination and delivery of existing participatory and public involvement courses and training (to students, staff and members of the public) and to further develop this educational portfolio through shaping and implementing a strategic teaching and learning framework, building organisational capacity and capability in public involvement.
Are you looking for an opportunity to utilise your participatory research and public involvement experience and passion for teaching? You will have a degree or postgraduate qualification in Public Health (or relevant subject) and a background in public involvement, participatory approaches to evaluation or research, or community engagement. You will also have experience in designing and delivering training and be adept at managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and engaging on strategic committees and steering groups.

The Patient Experience Research Centre (PERC)
PERC, which is a core facility of the Imperial Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), is responsible for implementing the Imperial BRC PPIEP Strategy across its 14 research themes as well as conducting research on patient experience including people’s experiences of taking part in health research. PERC is a multidisciplinary team comprising mixed methods’ researchers, anthropologists and public involvement practitioners which undertakes participatory research, research on research and provides advice, support and training on public involvement in research. PERC’s vision is to bring communities and professionals together to improve health research and our mission is to advocate, promote and support participatory approaches to improve health research.
This is a full time, fixed term post to 31 March 2028, based at the White City Campus, White City, London.
