Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and skilled internal-focused builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of construction skills, including carpentry, plastering, plumbing, tiling, patching and making good. We have bricklayers, joiners, decorators, plasterers & electricians in our team but need an inside trade generalist to keep up with existing and future projects. We are keen to do more bathrooms so experience of this area would be beneficial.
This role involves executing various building and maintenance tasks for our customers which is either extensions to their homes or bringing parts of older properties up to modern standards.
The position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced individuals with a proactive attitude and a passion for hands-on work in a positive can do environment. You will have a team around you to facilitate materials supply to yourself but you'll be running the job.
The job doesn't have to be full time, if you have your other private work from time to time we can work with this.
Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry tasks such as floors, skirting, architraves and repairs to support ongoing projects.
- Perform window fitting and repairs to ensure structural integrity and weatherproofing.
- Oversea painting and finishing to ensure the customer gets a high quality finish
- Install some elements of plumbing though we do have dedicated plumbers available.
- Handle basic wiring tasks such as fittings (though we have a sparky to do larger electrical tasks and signing off
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various building tasks.
- Use their skills built up over time to find solutions to problems on the job..
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines safely.
Requirements
- Proven experience in multiple trades such as carpentry, internal works, fit out, plumbing, tiling & electrical work.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to construction activities.
- A positive can do attitude
- Own transport & tools
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications accurately.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A proactive approach with problem-solving skills and adaptability to various tasks given working on old houses always throws up challenges.
- Certifications are preferred but not essential if experience is demonstrated.

Pay: £200.00-£260.00 per day
