SUPPORT WORKERS - SUPPORTED LIVING competitive rates of pay depending on experience and qualifications. A minimum of Level 2 NVQ and previous experience is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given. A Care Certificate must be completed within 12 weeks of joining and we would encourage all support staff to undertake NVQ qualifications. We are currently looking for candidates with a real drive and desire to make a difference to enhance our already excellent team.
We are a small family run multiple award winning supported living service based in Loose and Coxheath near Maidstone whose primary aim is to provide excellent and person centred care for individuals aged between 18-65 with Learning Disabilities, Autism, communication and mobility difficulties.
Our service provides support to enable individuals to lead the life that has meaning to them, at the heart of their local community. Every day will be different and our service users have a full social diary, so your days will be exceptionally varied.
Ideally we are looking for candidates who are able to work part time of 2 shifts per week with an option for more to cover staff sickness and holiday. You will need to be flexible as the hours will involve working shifts including weekends and bank holidays. A full clean driving licence would also be preferable but not essential.

Main responsibilities include
· Providing support to our service users to empower them to live meaningful lives at the heart of their local community enabling them to reach their full potential.
· Provide support with daily tasks including shopping, cleaning, tidying, laundry and meal preparation.
· Provide support with any social activities they wish to attend and accompany them to the GP or any medical appointments.
· Personal care support including showering and washing is required but limited as we try to ensure our service users are as independent as possible.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with individuals who may have different communication needs.
