Restoration Cafe at The Grand Pavilion is a charity-led operation in the popular tourist town of Matlock Bath. We are innovative and customer-centric, and our goal is to achieve a loyal customer base through high standards of customer service, quality food and drinks, and an ambient atmosphere. All proceed raised from Cafe operations goes directly back into restoring our historically important community building in the heart of Matlock Bath.
We are looking to hire a cook who will also work alongside the Front of House Team where necessary. The role will require the successful applicant to work independently and in a team to deliver a moderate breakfast and lunch menu, prepare the kitchen for the next day, and order supplies. There is also the expectation that midweek kitchen staff will help Front of House Staff serve customers, close the cafe, etc. Familiarisation with our practises will be provided.
The pay is £13.20 per hour for kitchen staff, alongside various other workplace benefits. Employment is subject to presentation of current hygiene certificate level 2 or above, and a probation period.
Successful applicants shall provide a CV with up to date references, a personal statement, and will be available for an interview ASAP. Previous cooking experience is required, unless the applicant can provide a compelling case for consideration.
Our work environment is ambitious and hard working, with a small but dedicated team working to help elevate the not only the cafe but the wider charity to help restore a beloved local treasure. We are looking for a dedicated, self motivated, hard working person with a keen eye for detail.
We have an opportunity for around 23 hours per week, working to a set shift. Weekend availability is required.
