Infinity Employment are seeking a PCB Inspection Engineer with IPC-A-610 qualification to Level 2 and Level 3 for a leading power solutions company specialising in the manufacture and assembly of high-quality electronic products. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced PCB Inspection Engineer to assist their quality team for a short contract.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) to IPC-A-610 standards, ensuring all products meet the highest levels of quality and workmanship before progressing through production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect PCB assemblies for soldering defects and workmanship issues in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards.
- Identify, record and report non-conformances.
- Verify the quality of solder joints, component placement and assembly workmanship.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve inspection findings.
- Ensure inspection records and documentation are completed accurately.
- Support continuous improvement activities within the manufacturing process.
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
- IPC-A-610 qualification to Level 2 and Level 3.
- Proven experience inspecting PCB assemblies to IPC-A-610 standards.
- Must have actively inspected PCB assemblies within the last two years.
- Strong understanding of electronic components, soldering standards and PCB assembly processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and assembly documentation.
Desirable:
- Experience within a power electronics or power solutions manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and manufacturing best practices.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 2:00pm
