Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver with HIAB certification to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, operating a flatbed lorry equipped with a HIAB crane. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers specialising in commercial driving and delivery services. Duties
- Safely operate a HGV Class 2 flatbed lorry fitted with a HIAB crane for various delivery routes
- Load and unload goods using the HIAB crane, ensuring secure handling of all items
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduled deadlines
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and in accordance with customer requirements
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle logs
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations during operations and loading/unloading procedures
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to coordinate delivery schedules
Experience
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with HIAB certification
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly in delivery roles involving flatbed vehicles
- Familiarity with operating flatbed trucks and HIAB cranes safely and efficiently
- Delivery driver experience preferred, demonstrating reliability and professionalism on the road
- Knowledge of current driving regulations and health & safety standards within the logistics sector
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading goods using the HIAB crane
