Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
- Manage food production processes, including portion control and presentation standards
- Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Assist in menu planning, development, and innovation to meet customer preferences
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering to minimise waste and optimise resources
- Lead by example in maintaining a positive, professional work environment
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary arts
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
- Experience in team management and training staff members effectively
- Knowledge of food production processes and service operations
- Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not essential; a passion for delivering excellent customer service is required
