A well-established and rapidly growing utilities contractor in the South is looking to strengthen its commercial team with the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects from early-stage support through to final accounts, ensuring financial control and strong contract performance throughout.
Key Duties
- Take ownership of commercial delivery across several live schemes
- Track project spend, monitor performance and report on cost positions
- Manage variations and ensure all changes are accurately captured and valued
- Support tendering activity and assist with procurement of subcontractors
- Provide guidance on contractual matters and highlight any commercial risks
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure projects remain on track financially
- Develop strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Assist with resolving commercial challenges or disputes where required
- Carry out site visits to stay aligned with project progress

About You
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, utilities, or infrastructure
- Confident managing projects commercially from start to finish
- Strong understanding of contracts and cost management processes
- Good communicator, comfortable dealing with clients and delivery teams
- Able to manage workload across multiple projects
- Proactive, commercially aware and solutions-focused
- Relevant qualifications (degree or equivalent) beneficial
