An established and progressive employee-owned law firm is seeking to appoint an experienced and ambitious solicitor to lead its expanding Private Client Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior private client lawyer looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking practice. The role combines strategic leadership, team development and hands-on fee earning work, offering genuine influence over the future direction of the department.
The Role
Private Client Solicitor to play a central role in leading and developing the Private Client Department, ensuring consistently high standards of client care, compliance and departmental performance.
Key responsibilities will include:

Leading, managing and developing the Private Client Department

Overseeing departmental performance, compliance and service delivery standards

Supervising and mentoring solicitors, a trainee solicitor and support staff

Managing a varied personal caseload including:
- Wills
-
Probate and estate administration
-
Trusts
-
Lasting Powers of Attorney
-
Deputyship matters
- Supporting business development and marketing initiatives

Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and professional obligations
What We Are Looking For

Private Client Solicitor with significant experience in private client law

Strong leadership and people management skills

Excellent technical expertise and client care standards

Commercial awareness with experience of working towards financial targets

STEP qualification (preferred) or willingness to work towards accreditation
