As part of our continued growth and success, we are now expanding into larger premises, creating an exciting opportunity for a Flooring Sales Consultant to join our team. About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Flooring Sales Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will help customers choose the ideal flooring solutions for their homes or commercial spaces, providing expert guidance from initial enquiry through to installation and after-sales support.
As a key member of our showroom team, you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience while driving sales and building lasting customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers into the showroom and provide a professional, friendly, and informative service.
- Advise customers on a wide range of flooring products, including carpets, luxury vinyl tiles (LVT), laminate, engineered wood, vinyl, and other flooring solutions.
- Assess customer requirements and recommend products that suit their style, budget, and practical needs.
- Prepare accurate quotations and process customer orders efficiently.
- Follow up on quotations and identify opportunities to convert enquiries into sales.
- Respond to customer enquiries in person, by telephone, email, and online
- Assist with the scheduling and coordination of site measures, deliveries, orders, and installations.
- Maintain attractive showroom displays, product samples, and merchandising standards.
- Monitor and record stock levels accurately.
- Keep customer information up to date using the company CRM system.
- Process payments securely both in-store and over the phone.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within the carpet and flooring industry.
- Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or a customer-facing role.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Professional, confident, and approachable manner.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good computer literacy and administration skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Proven experience working towards and achieving sales targets.
- Product knowledge across carpets, LVT, laminate, wood, and vinyl flooring.
- Experience using CRM or sales management systems.
