Job Responsibilities
1.Monitor and interpret political developments across Europe, EU regulatory frameworks, and pan-European international affairs, delivering actionable insights that impact international trade and investment decisions.
2.Conduct independent research on Eurasian geopolitics, cross-border interactions, and regional governance models; focus on regional conflicts, geopolitical competition, and major power dynamics influencing trade flows.
3.Analyze the interplay between international relations, regional security, and economic structures, assessing potential impacts on trade, supply chains, and bulk commodity markets.
4.Draft high-quality policy briefings, international affairs reviews, and comprehensive regional analysis reports to support strategic trade and investment planning.
5.Conduct field research and on-site investigations when necessary, integrating first-hand observations into analytical frameworks for accurate, actionable insights.
6.Monitor long-term political and economic trends, identify underlying operational logics, and produce structured, forward-looking analysis for internal research teams.
7.Collaborate with colleagues to ensure macro-regional analysis is accurate, timely, and grounded in comprehensive information.
Job Requirements
1.Deep understanding of global geopolitics, international relations, and cross-regional governance; expertise in regional conflicts, geopolitical dynamics, and major power competition is essential.
2.Familiarity with Central Asian regional dynamics and Xinjiang-related affairs is highly preferred.
3.Experience in think tanks, policy research institutions, international NGOs, or large-scale international affairs research projects is a strong advantage.
4.Excellent English skills with outstanding reading, writing, and analytical capabilities; able to design research frameworks, conduct thematic studies, and deliver professional reports independently.
5.Strong insight into global current affairs, rigorous logical thinking, and independent research skills; willingness to conduct occasional field research or business trips.
6.Ability to connect political, security, and economic factors, with experience linking geopolitical analysis to international trade and market impacts a plus.
Pay: From £54,000.00 per year
