UPN operates a simple and effective hub and spoke distribution system specifically for palletised freight. The system links the national UPN network of 100+ member depots that collects and delivers freight every day from across the UK, and Europe.
Based at our Smart Hub in Fradley Park, this role sits at the centre of the night operation, helping coordinate communication, support operational flow and maintain service across the network.
We are looking for an organised and proactive Night Operations Coordinator who can manage priorities, communicate effectively and support the smooth running of the overnight operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate communication across the operation to support service and resolve issues
- Monitor vehicle arrivals and departures and maintain accurate system records
- Produce operational reports and support timely processing of operational data
- Identify issues, coordinate responses and escalate where appropriate
- Work closely with operational teams to maintain service standards
- Support the operation through effective administration and coordination
About You
- Excellent communication skills and confident building effective working relationships.
- Organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team.
- IT proficiency including Microsoft Word and Excel and outlook.
- Experience within logistics, transport, warehouse administration or operational environments would be advantageous, however operational knowledge, good judgement and the right attitude are just as important.

There will be an initial 3-month probationary period, after which the role will become permanent.
