RESPONSIBILITIES Food Preparation/ Serving:
As head cook we are looking for someone to manage the kitchen on a high level. To take charge of the ordering and budgeting in the kitchen and to ensure the kitchen is kept to a high standard.
1. Prepare, cook and serve Apetito meals, breakfast and the occasional hot and cold meals, as and when required, ensuring safe methods are adhered to at all times as in the safer food better business pack from the food standards agency.
Maintain statutory and company standards of hygiene, food safety and health and safety at all times
2. Provide for special dietary requirements where necessary, and take into account the preferences of individual residents. Where a resident is assessed as needing a specific diet, this must be provided in line with that assessment.
3. Ensure residents are offered a choice of food and drinks at all times, including a choice of compartments when serving food, taking into account their preferences, religious and cultural backgrounds.
4. A variety of nutritious appetizing food should be available at all times to meet the needs of the residents and ensure all food is served in an attractive manner and at the correct temperature.
5. Snacks or other food should be made available between meals for those who prefer to eat “little and often”.
6. Ensure the resident have the appropriate equipment and tools to help them eat independently.
