Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to deliver goods to clients and customers across designated routes
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, maintaining high standards of customer service
- Load and unload products, adhering to safety protocols and proper handling procedures
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation in accordance with company policies
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety regulations during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays
- Assist in organising delivery routes to optimise efficiency and minimise fuel consumption
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving experience
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries
- Knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic regulations within the UK
- Experience with flatbed or specialised vehicle operation is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
- Strong communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality
- Physical fitness to load/unload goods and perform routine vehicle inspections
