Role Overview
As a Laboratory Technician you will provide testing resource for wheat and flour from raw materials to finished products, for quality control and quality assurance. The shift pattern for this role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a 3-week rotating shift pattern of 05:00 - 13:30, 08:30 - 17:00 and 11:30 - 20:00.
Key Responsibilities

Using a range of bench tests and instrumental techniques, you will provide quality control on incoming materials to ensure compliance with both in-house specifications and EC/UK regulations.

Maintain all laboratory equipment to ensure its in good working order.

Carry out quality control on outgoing products, recording samples and comparing results to specifications.

Prepare and certify samples of finished products for customers to ensure they meet specification.

Communicate effectively with site personnel, and where appropriate suppliers and customers

Maintain all analysis records and help maintain the quality management system.

Carry out basic lab housekeeping routines ensuring all lab areas clean and tidy.
Key Requirements

Experience of working in a laboratory or similar testing environment.

Self-motivated with good time management skills.

Able to provide accurate and reproducible results.
