We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team. The aim at LM Care Homes Ltd is to provide a happy home for children and young people, with a vision of ensuring that all children are treated with the best quality of care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to communicate effectively, develop care plans, and support children in various activities. A driving license is required to facilitate travel between locations.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and assistance to children in daily activities, promoting their independence and personal development.
- Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to the specific needs of each child.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
- Assist with day-to-day tasks and care.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents that occur during support sessions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care provided.
- Engage in training and professional development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge in the field.
Requirements
- Previous experience in residential childcare.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with children and families.
- Diploma level 3 in Residential Child Care or Equivalent (Desirable)
- Ability to develop care plans that address individual needs and promote positive outcomes.
- A valid driving license is required for travel purposes between different locations.
- Proficiency in IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members.
- A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those you support.
