We have an opportunity for an outstanding sonographer with exceptional communication skills to join our growing team.
What you will do: Every member of our team is responsible for ensuring our clients have a highly personalised, and discreet experience, from their initial enquiry to booking, their assessment and follow-up. As a sonographer at Preventicum, you will spend a significant amount of time with clients and will make sure they feel welcome, safe and comfortable during their assessment. You will be extremely professional and friendly to clients and colleagues, working efficiently and effectively to ensure each client has a first-class experience with you in their ultrasound assessment and with us more broadly.
What you are responsible for: As part of their advanced Preventicum health assessment, our clients undergo an extensive ultrasound examination, which includes:
- carotid arteries
- thyroid
- abdomen
- pelvis (including transvaginal scanning)
We also offer female clients a Bindex (bone density) scan, on which we would train you.
In this role, you will:
- carry out ultrasound procedures in line with existing specific clinical guidelines and protocols (RCR and SOR Standards, Code of Clinical Practice)
- maintain professional competencies and CPD
- independently provide comprehensive clinical reporting to the medical team
- liaise with our Consultant Radiologists as required
- provide specialist knowledge and expertise about the role of ultrasound scanning in the diagnosis of specific conditions to clients and colleagues
- ensure that clients experience the highest standard of clinical and non-clinical care
- assist colleagues with the day-to-day running of the client’s journey
- design and implement relevant audits with the Medical Director
- produce and review standard operating procedures for our ultrasound services
- report on time and on our secure client data management systems
- build a relationship with the equipment supplier to ensure service and maintenance
- order and store adequate supplies
- respect client confidentiality at all times
- proactively promote Preventicum through outstanding client service
- ensure excellent attention to detail with all our systems and processes

Required skills, experience and qualifications:
- post graduate certification/diploma in ultrasound (PgDip) or DMU qualification
- general, vascular, abdominal, gynae and small parts
- member of appropriate body with a valid registration (RCT, HCPC or equivalent)
- at least two years of experience in a private healthcare setting, preferably in London
- experience working with multi-skilled colleagues including doctors and other clinicians
- interest in working in a cutting-edge healthcare environment
