Registered Veterinary Nurse - Birkenhead
4-day week | True clinical variety | Purpose-driven veterinary care
Feeling like your nursing skills aren’t being fully used?
If you’re an RVN who wants to do more than routine tasks, and actually make a difference to pets and their owners, this could be the role that brings your passion back.
The Opportunity
We’re working with a purpose-driven veterinary clinic in Birkenhead that has built its entire model around one simple idea: veterinary care should be accessible, not exclusive.
This is not a profit-first environment. It is a Community Interest Company with a clear mission to remove financial barriers so pets can receive the treatment they need. That means you’ll see a genuinely varied caseload, from complex orthopaedics to intricate medical cases, because treatment decisions are led by clinical need, not cost alone.
They are looking for a nurse who wants to fully utilise their skills in a setting where your voice matters. There is no rigid hierarchy here. Instead, you’ll be part of a collaborative team where nurses contribute meaningfully to patient care, clinical discussions, and the overall direction of the practice.
Why This Role Is Different
A caseload that keeps you engaged
You’ll be involved in everything from advanced medical workups to orthopaedic cases. This is a place where your nursing skills are used, not sidelined.
Facilities that support real clinical work
- 7 consulting rooms
- 2 theatres
- Dedicated x-ray suite
- Separate dog and cat wards in a cat-friendly environment
- Scope to expand into advanced services such as cardiac scanning
A genuinely flat team structure
No unnecessary hierarchy. Nurses, vets, and support staff work collaboratively, with everyone contributing to clinical decisions and patient outcomes.
A mission you can stand behind
Free consultations and transparent pricing mean you are helping pets who might otherwise go untreated. The impact of your work here is tangible, every single day.
