Inspection Rewind operator required
Denny Bros ltd is global leader in multi-page labelling and printing solutions. Working in our purpose built facility in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk you will be a part of our finishing team to ensure the work is completed on time and efficiently. Any previous print or print finishing experience is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
Main Purpose of role
- Setting up and running inspection slitting machinery for self adhesive labels and multi page products.
- Ensuring job instructions are followed to specification and work is completed to schedule.
- Main duties
- Handling printed products.
- Identify and work with different types of materials, such as PET liners, and glassine materials.
- Set up and operate on machine inline inspection systems
- To actively participate in the finishing team, communicating well towards right first-time approach.
- Unloading finished reels and label each reel with correct details.
- Be responsible for checking labels in the last stages of their process and have the confidence and initiative to raise any concerns around quality.
Knowledge and skills and attributes
- Ability to understand procedures and work within tight job specifications under ISO9001
- Previous experience within the print or packaging industry (desirable but not essential)
- Able to working in fast paced, quality conscious environment.
- Good attention to detail with a flexible attitude within the workplace.
- Work within H&S guidelines
- 3 day shift pattern which includes a shift premium on top of the starting salary, 37.5hrs per week Monday - Saturday 05:50 - 18:40 after a successful integration period. Initial familiarisation will be completed on days shifts 08:30 - 04:30 Monday - Friday.
