Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Grab Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy goods vehicles equipped with grab lorries to facilitate the safe and efficient collection and delivery of materials. This role requires a dedicated individual with excellent driving skills, experience in commercial driving, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Duties
- Operate HGV lorries fitted with grab mechanisms to load and unload materials accurately and safely.
- Ensure timely collection and delivery of goods to various sites, adhering to schedules.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with securing loads and ensuring compliance with safety regulations during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and vehicle logs.
- Follow all road safety laws and company policies during operations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues on route.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV licence with relevant categories for commercial driving.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving flatbed or heavy goods vehicles.
- Experience operating flatbed trucks and handling materials using grab mechanisms is highly desirable.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial vehicle operation.
- Ability to organise routes efficiently and work independently under minimal supervision.

Pay: £14.00-£15.50 per hour
