Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating sewing machines to produce high-quality work for upholstery and textile products. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and prior experience in sewing, preferably with industry experience. The Sewing Machinist will play a vital part in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble and finish textile products
- Follow detailed patterns and specifications to ensure accurate stitching and assembly
- Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies, making adjustments as necessary
- Maintain sewing equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting machine issues
- Work efficiently within production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and meet production targets
- Adhere to health and safety regulations within the workshop environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sewing, with the ability to operate different types of sewing machines confidently
- upholstery work experience is desirable but not essential; organisational skills are advantageous
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production needs

Pay: £100.00-£150.00 per day
