Night shift PVCU Window and Door Fabricator
Sterling PVCU is one of the region's largest manufacturers of windows and doors with over 30 years of trading, and as part of our expansion plans, we are looking to recruit additional night shift fabricators.
The successful candidates will boost our existing fabrication team that has responsibility for manufacturing high quality windows and doors. Previous night shift work and experience of fabricating is desirable, however full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Summary of the position
You will be hands on working with in our Window and Door manufacturing environment and with your experience across fabrication and manufacturing processes you will be involved in production of UPVC windows, doors.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Fabrication of uPVC windows / doors (fixings, gears, mechanisms)
· Final assembly and construction of uPVC frames, (hanging, handles, chiselling, hinges)
· Able to read and understand order form information and verify the parts required prior to assembly frame components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications
· Double-check on the details and can finish frames to a high standard
· Familiar with the use of air, power and hand tools, instrumentation, and calibration equipment
· Strong Health and safety awareness
· Ideally have strong experience across Quality Control (QC)
Qualifications and Skills
GCSEs/A-levels or equivalents
Would be advantage if you have experience in general assembly work on windows and doors.
Ideally have some prior experience of working with tools, or in joinery/ carpentry environment.

- Able to lift reasonably heave loads
- Reliable and good time keeling are essential
Schedule is
- 4 night shift 10 hours
- Monday - Thursday
- 21:00-07:00
