Job Overview
Care Mode Services Ltd is looking for compassionate, reliable, and experienced Support Workers to join our dedicated team. You will provide person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism, helping them to live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, choice, and inclusion.
As a Support Worker, you will build positive relationships with the people you support, assisting them with daily living activities, encouraging community participation, and promoting their physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support.
- Support individuals with learning disabilities and autism in their daily lives.
- Assist with personal care where required, while maintaining dignity and respect.
- Support individuals to access the community, attend appointments, and participate in social and recreational activities.
- Encourage independence and develop life skills.
- Follow individual care and support plans.
- Administer medication (following training and company policies).
- Maintain accurate daily records and complete required documentation.
- Safeguard vulnerable adults by following company policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other agencies.
- Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism is essential.
- Good understanding of person-centred care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays where required.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check with update service (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Medication Administration Training.
- Manual Handling Training.
- Safeguarding Adults Training.
- First Aid Training.
